Is there a tool , or web application that can be used to pull up keyword competition statistics in order to find available niche market vertices?

Sort of an idea generator :|

Or mabey there is something in that resembles to that.

Well, there is Ultimate Niche Finder. But I have found that it is solely based on what the Google keyword tool supplies for the chosen keywords. So the tool is not creative in itself. I'm combining it with a Google suggest ripper.
