I know that they have been testing changing how the search results show up for quite a while now, but I just checked earlier and for me it was the usual old Google design, but now its the new "spacy" search results.

I think if you're not ranking in the top 3, you might need one heck of a title to catch any attention now!

Your thoughts BHW?

Edit: Apparently some of the results show up as spacy where you would have to scroll down much further than before in order to see the other 7 results, while others have an updated look but still the same spacing as before...

lol google's main page image changes because of some occasions dude like lunar eclipse, birthdate of some famous guy, a famous event is on going and not because of some system change
 
WTF is going on with Google? What is that navbar? Google dropped from pr 10 to 9.... wow.
 
Earlier my navbar was regular but now thats black as well... I seriously doubt the only thing they are changing right now is the appearance so expect some algo changes as well
 
someone was talking about this earlier in the irc room, i think google are rolling it out on all their sites
 
The UI of google search is going through slight changes. It was being rolled out across the world gradually this week.
 
That black nav bar is fugly... Doesn't match the rest of the design at all.

LoL at first I saw that...I thought my laptop got some virus!! That was super ugly though, I'd prefer all whites instead of an ugly black topbar.

Holy crap that navbar doesn't match at all..I guess they want more eyeballs scrutinizing it
 
lol, thought it's my ubuntu update messed up toolbar :)
 
one of my sites actually dropped from pr 2 to pr 0.
But coincidentally i had updated my theme the day before so i thought i messed up.

But then i see some of my other sites went from pr 0 to pr1 so i guess
it wasn't my fault afterall. Also there are reports like this around the web too.
 
guess google added the black bar so ppl use other services more "shopping, videos, etc"
 
Liking it so far. Though couldn't really figure out the rationale behind using the black color but do we actually care about it?
