I've seen through Google's lies since there is a Google. They screwed webmasters real good every single time and webmasters keep following their rules and obeying like stupid sheep, working more and more each year for less and less organic traffic.

Google changed the rules to suit their bottom line every time. When Google was an affiliate program, they went after other affiliates. You had to join one of their programs or get f'ked. Then they exited the affiliate business and suddenly affiliate links were OK. One of their corporate drones even posted about that recently on Twitter.

Then they totally fucked up the natural WWW links structure by introducing nofollow. What in the everliving fuck is a nofollow link meant to be? A not link? Google made links into a product you could buy, but then they have exclusive rights to control link commerce. Funny.

Now they're serving Wikipedia and other content straight off their SERPs, right beside their shit ton of ads. And they're serving AMP pages straight off their servers and you don't see the traffic.

And people call this tin foil conspiracy? It's right under your nose. Google is becoming Facebook for the WWW, web pages are like Facebook posts, they're using your content as their own, right beside their ads.

Anyway, I imagine some sellers are already looking out for this next update so they can change their titles to "[update name] proof and still G STD free!"

I completely understand and agree but i'd probably lean on feeling more sympathy for the person who has been sold the bullshit lie. But then again i'm assuming lots of pbn sellers believed in the safety of their pbn.

Alas, we can both agree the pbn link seller and pbn link buyer are gonna be getting fucked pretty soon :D

Yep.

I actually do not feel sorry for the seller. At all. I need to clarify this. I didn't mean to imply that I did.

The buyer will have a time of it, but hopefully they will learn to educate themselves so that they won't fall for something like that again.
 
I'm really curious what we'll see from Google in the weeks to come. Last time they posted a reminder announcement like this, Penguin hit. My guess: They have some new algorithm in the pipeline to tackle crappy PBNs, cheapo guest posts, the stuff they so far handled manually with "unnatural links" penalties. If that's true and it works...prepare for the longest thread ever on BHW:
 
I will take the opposite side and say that the so-called crappy PBNs (whatever that means) maybe actually safe unless they openly advertise 'post a guest post' or paid 'guest post here'. No matter how high quality they are, they are the easiest to identify. Those 'crappy' are the random links here and there a bit harder identify as a network. I'm absolutely sure that a lot of people will disagree with and I'm fine with it. Just please don't lecture me on that. Your opinion is as good as mine.

I see a lot of people bitching about the so-called 'crappy' PBNs, I'm pretty sure that a lot of them at one point did buy them and it worked well for them. The truth is that without those 'crappy' PBNs that I had bought here or elsewhere I'd be still working a crappy 9-5 job. True, some of them were indeed crap, some were really good. I guess they somehow balanced themselves out as I was able to 'sail' through major G updates without damage, especially the last 8 or 9 months.

Last but not least, now my website does get quality natural links here and there, but you know what, without those 'crappy' PBNs to help it out when I launched it, it would have been impossible. How the F people supposed to link to you if your website is ranking nowhere in the beginning. Like it or not, it needs a push. Sadly some people here have forgotten how they were starting out (by buying 'crappy' PBNs) but now that they rank they scream 'quality'. I see some members bitching all the time about the quality of links on the marketplace but when there is an opportunity to get links for a free review they're the first in line to get one. Hipocracy at its best.

P.S. I'm not telling anyone to buy 'crappy' PBNs. Read reviews, ask for samples and make your decision.

Google always try to control the spammy links & information's in many of different updates regularly like, https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2017/05/a-reminder-about-links-in-large-scale.html. So we want to change some link building statics in their update basis and Keep Rock in Organic SearchEngine Results without any warnings ;):p:cool:

I actually agree with both of you haha.

It is far easier to scan a root domain for in url or intitle or inbody: guest post, contribute etc.

BUT i also think finding spammy pbns is not to hard as people are lazy and leave footprints everywhere.

@bahus - you are correct, everybody starts somewhere, the issue with pbns is they give many people short term gains only to be crucified by google months later. There is a harder but for more beneficial way to get links; by adding value, becoming an expert go to go guy in your niche and/or writing emotionally aggravating articles.

That 'short-term gains' is debatable :) I was able to rank (top 5) some of my posts with really 'crapy pbns' that now are long gone, and the posts are still ranking very well. I'm assuming that part of the success is due to those 'crapy pbns' that had generated some traction and natural links only because the posts were pushed to the top by the so-called 'crappy pbns' Sure, there are many other factors involved like overall quality of a website but in my case those 'crappy pbns' weren't after all a short-term gains. They did their job and they ... well died ;), but the traction that I got from them is priceless.

Can you post your analytics stats? has your traffic increased first and then is on a downward trend as most other pbn buyers? how much do you think is short term - 3 months / 6 months or 1 yr?

I'd await such because anyone i know who had a crappy pbn pointed at their that ended with backlinks dying = downward trend for the whole site.

You might be an exception, but what you describe @bahus doesn't normally happen like that.

There are no fixed rules when it comes to pbns or links in general. Sometimes I see an improvement within a month, sometimes it takes longer than that. Sometimes I don't get a boost at all. When I create new pbn links it's normal to see some 'google dance' but eventually, things will settle down and I'll rank either higher or stay where I was before. It depends on many factors, like links quality, onpage seo, keyword density just to name a few.
 
Exactly. To be honest, I thought I would see a bit more outrage over the "featured snippets" being taken straight off other peoples work and included right beside their fucking ad machine. Way to take clicks away from people who spend hours curating content, and then being complete cunts to everyone who has got a number 1 spot with good content and links, only to get TL:DR version which is wrong most of the time, unless it is a well known fact.

I actually wrote a very in depth piece of content for one of my sites, and the last part of it was a Q&A format. I curated popular questions, wrote a succinct good answer, and then provided my resources. What happens? A few weeks later, the exact same questions I put there, along with answers straight from the resources I compiled were in the "people also ask" box, which brings up more questions if you click on them.

Fuckheads need to stop scraping and just be a god damn search engine again. It's fine to make money, that's why were all here, but the greed has just gone way, way too far at this point. They scrape those "instant answers" for the google home device I presume, wonder what they do with the sites who they stole the answers from? Read the web address out loud too?

All this to say... fuck Google! It is not just me who has gotten a very negative sentiment towards them, but particularly over the past 2 years they have acted like overseers of the internet and continously fucked over webmasters more and more, little by little. I'll build PBN's and buy guest posts, and whatever else I want!
