Word count isn’t the ranking factor here. If the 300-word article satisfies the search intent better, is more focused, and gives users the answer faster, it can easily outperform a 2,500-word article. I would look at intent, relevance, content quality, and user engagement before blaming the word count.If Google says “quality content matters”…
