Hi Mates,

I was attending a meeting of few black hat people yesterday!
There was a person who sounded good but not enough, rest all others were crap or I can say newbies..

One of them said Google is tracking ip address of each backlink, to check who is creating the backlink and is it is legitimate or not?
I dont know if this is true, so I thought to ask over here, hope someone knows about this and someone can pass on his comments..

If this is true that means we need to use proxies always while creating backlinks?
and how the hell Google is going to know what is the IP, if we are posting articles using AMR, or using Senuke etc..

My only concern is, if this is true? then that means we should always use proxies to create backlinks?

Any comment or thoughts are most welcome.. :)

Their is no way they can track anything apart from BL coming from a particular website. Whoever gave you that information probably doesn't know what he is talking about.

Just make sure you aren't using Google Chrome :)

If I am owner of abc.com then how the hell Google can collect info from my site.. haha such a foolish people , they wasted 2 hours of mine..

that's not entirely true. if you're posting on a site that runs google analytics or adsense, then sure they can (and are) tracking your ip. I think it's safe to say most sites are using one of the two.
 
No, not possible. How would Google be able to do that? They can only see infos that are public to everyone. If the IP isn't public, they can't see it.

How do you think the google library gets on the site? You (the client) downloads it. C'mon, you don't think they have fraud protection built into their ad library or analytics library? The snippet you put on your side loads a javascript library from their servers -- they now have your ip.

Yep, I agree with the poster above - never use Google Chrome - The Don't be evil guys want to infiltrate your private data as much as possible. I will never use Chrome if I don't have to.
 
I don't know if they can determine whether your ip dropped a link on a page you visited. But they have geniuses working on the problem I'm sure. They would know your ip your visiting the site from, both from the analytics code on the page and when you download the javascript libraries from their servers. So that's two points of reference. Now your link is pointing to a different ip, your web host ip...so they would have to triangulate somehow to figure out if you're dropping the link. This is the main reason I don't use gmail accounts for link building, I use hotmail -- using gmail would give them a 3rd point of reference to figure out you dropped the link.

..and forget about chrome, once you use that malware, you're giving everything you do online to google.

are you using your browser to post? You can use something like HMA Pro to change your ip every few hours...or use the firefox plugin by proxy.co which allows you to import a list of ips and have it change at whatever interval you want.
 
If your spam tool doesn't have javascript enabled then that won't trigger Google analytics or adsense, and it won't load Google's cached version of jquery if it is present on the page, either.

yes, you can disable javascript too for tools like scrapebox that use the browser for posting. If there's no javascript being loaded from Google, they would not know you even visited the site.
 
he is saying partially right.... I also raised a question few hours back. i am using russian Ip, will it affect my rankings? i guess it will......

If you are running any google code on the backend, then google can collect data from it. BUT.... do you think google is that much free to collect particular information for a particular website?
 
if you remember, two or three years back, black hatters used to say that never install google webmasters code on your website... think why they used to say this?
