I was ranked at 15th position for my keyword......for few weeks not, dropped from page 1.....
Each time I do something google pushes me for 10 positions lower in results....
so I just posted a link on quora right.....linking my site.....and the same day i dropped to 25th position

This google is such a sham......I used vps, comodo dragon to post and still i got penalized immediately....
I am checking ranking each day for few months now.....what a crazy world

Even if I change one alt tag, google immediately punishes me ...

It is not a punish. It is just google dance. After you making changes on your website, adding backlinks Google testing your website on a various positions for a few days, weeks, months - it depends. But then, if your backlinks are good quality you will get better or similar position depending on competition.
 
Some times luck betrayed with us. Its happen with me. Any where i go their will be problem must. Anythings i do it will be in problem. I am just frustrated that time too much But i have not broken that time. I starts all of thins again and again at the end I have won. Believe me don't broke up and frustrated just carry on with your best try. You will must win
 
Dude, quora is not a good source of a backlink. I mean I'm no expert, but for each link that is outside of your 'niche' you'll only get worse results.
From my experience SEO right now is about quality as in relevant, trusted source rather than spamming a bunch of links from whatever sites.
I learned this the hard way too lol
 
but everyidiot can spam you via quora.....and google will do its stupipd dance each time? Or it detected that it was me posting it? It was my nichequestion so I just posted my link.....i tried to hide my ass....but if google is spying somehow on users than I failed......i used good VPS, and mail.com email....
 
Whelp yeah.... unfortunately if someone wants to blast your site down, they can do you a 'favor' by spamming your link on a bunch of irrelevant websites.
Also google rankings have been a bitch for some time now, but since google dropped the ranking it all depends on 3rd party websites now.
 
I'd be very frustrated if this happened to me! Have you checked your backlinks? Maybe spammers are sabotaging you on low-quality websites.
 
Happend to me. my site was ranked 22 and i add 500+ word content. the keyword i targeted for drop to 30 but a small keyword belong to that newly added part ranked in 3rd position.
 
You have to get used to it by now. It's really difficult to read Google dance lately. One day, you'll think there have been Google updates and you'll try your best to troubleshoot your website to adjust to that. The next day, you'll find out it's just Google dance. Can be quite frustrating, to be honest.
 
Just keep working my man...

Google will try to fuck you one way or the other but you have to tell google to trust your site by links and direct traffic as well ;)

comodo dragon = chrome browser i believe, can't be sure if that has anything to do with your rankings or not. If it's not chrome directly, I do believe that it's part of the chromium project and Google is a big contributor. What is leading you to believe that the browser makes any difference to this post you made and the rankings your received?
 
I think you don't do anything for period of time and then do blast for more backlinks
your ranking will improve. IMHO
 
Google algo is shit at this moment. Bad content and spam parasites rank higher than good content, new clone sites rank higher than old original ones. Everything is just a mess. When you think you found a way to get up on google the next minute you are lower than you ever were.
 
All is for Google Algorithm. It's enough to change a word in your homepage, then you have just disturb all the efforts. but these days, keyword optimization, due to keyword spamming in the past, has been reduced in importance. It’s purpose is only to tell Google that, for example, this page is about x, and you want them to include it in their search results when people search for x and variations of x. Lessening the importance of keywords is very different from disregarding them altogether though.
There are 8 places that you can use keywords on your website to signal to Google which pages on your site you want to rank for which keywords:
1. page title
2. Url
3. H1 tag
4. Body content
5. Image tag and so on.
 
Yes I see new sites outranking me, then I check their backlinks and they have directory backlinks and wp comments backlinks......
si think retarded google favours the quantity of articles on the site.......you rank better if you have 5000 wwords article full of links then a short article.....

I think your link source is doing more harm to your site, rather than improving it. If they are a good/clean link source, your site would instead increase in the SERP ranking, and drop a little -- that would be the normal dance that you should see.
If you see continuous drop, wait a while and if it doesn't improve, then it's confirmed that the links are no good and should be removed instead.

backlinks really do the job for you.

Are you changing any URL's?
Removing content or changing the tags for a URL is not a good idea.
Adding more content and tags is ok (in fact just adding content below the existing content, something many preview sites do as more information about the product being released comes in) works really well. But altering the top level content, altering the tags, changing the canonical structure. It's all "back to the sandbox for you" in most cases. Particularly since 2016.

That said, if something is wrong fix it. But don't be a "fiddler". Don't keep messing with your site or pages. If they need fixing, sort out all the issues in one go, then wait. Sadly these days a 6 week period of Google faffing around after site alterations is quite normal in competitive niches.
