Google is playing with all of us

Google is always the best and biggest search engine for now and for the future, so we should find ways to live with Google as partners. Don't try to beat google, it is the giant Dog and you never can beat them. Be a friend of Google and you wil make benifits from G. I have a health site banned from G few month ago, but after i sent a re-consideration message to Google, my site was re-indexed again after 3 days. By now, i still do evey things slowly enough that it doesn't appear to trick agains G' guidesline and my site is getting more and more high in ranking.

If there is a Start, there will be an End... If there is a Birth, there will be a Death... Technology is changing every day... Who knows, there will be one day Google is in History....

Google is treading very close to the line of having anti-trust regulation applied to them, and if anyone really thought about it for long, google is nothing more than a giant violator of copyright law. It's just that most people don't think about it. :)

I love the railroad analogy and guess what broke the back of the railroads?

The automobile? Perhaps.

So to stretch the analogy a bit further, what is needed to break the googleopoly is portable, personal search. Your own private geegle, that you can decorate as you wish and that meets your personal criteria, knows you and your tastes and does it's own crawling.

I'm talking about what amounts to a personal digital factotum. As distributed and quantum computing continue to evolve, it won't be long before google is no longer necessary. We'll have digital assistants with so much computational and storage capacity, and so many data storage cooperatives that we'll essentially all own our own engine that uses shared resources to answer our questions and queries based on our personal models of what is correct, useful and of sufficiently high quality as a user experience since it will essentially be a subset of our own thought-models that guide our personal search assistant.

Cookies are just the beginning of this process and are inherently unstable as a way for any third party to truly model our behavior and provide relevant results.

In the end I see google becoming a paid data storage portal, nothing more. They'll charge a nominal fee for access the data that they scrape, and our personal minions will do the algorithmic magic to deliver results we want.

Or, if they're smart, google will develop the personal search bot technology and market it to us.

And they're awefully goddam smart. :)

yea, you are def right minhoba..

Easy to get hung up on intense paranoia.......

thx

G00gle sucks. Over a year ago I was using adsence to advertise my small business (IT Support). At the time I was #1 on G00gle for my keywords, and I had multiple listings on search results. When I quit using adsence I litteraly fell off G00gle search results completely.

Still today I am #1 on Yahoo and I hold about half of the first 2-3 pages on search results for my given keywords and phrazes.

G00gle sucks.

i never thought of it like that... you think yahoo will catch on eventually?

You have a great point. Googles proprietary info keeps people from knowing the truth...

Well as for me.........I definately want BIG G to continue trading. 90% of my IM income come from adwords campaigns.

I don't think they are too difficult. I think they are proactive.

When they change rules, i simply follow some of them and find myself with no trouble with them.

Hi,

I have recently found a big problem on GOOGLE. When I type in something to search for a genuine link comes up. But when I click the link in blue, it then takes me to a totally different page from the link. Is this some kind of spyware or a google bug.

Here is an example:

I type in Tardis on google and it comes up Doctor Who

The link was

TARDIS - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaA product of Time Lord technology, a properly maintained and piloted TARDIS can transport its occupants to any point in time and space. ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TARDIS Similar pages

But when I click on the blue link TARDIS - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaA product of Time Lord technology

This happens

it redirects to a site called copybook and then sends me to a totally crap page that is nothing to do with it. Have I been hacked or is this a way for google to make money.

Steve

chemer,

You probably have adware installed, or you click and adwords sponsorized link.
