Google is not serving the right content in search results.

My VPN affiliate website's homepage is being served instead of the relevant content in search results, despite my content being indexed quickly. The homepage only contains a list of content, without any content that could cannibalize the internal content pages.
I am unable to understand this strange behavior, which has been occurring for the past week. Can anyone suggest a solution or share if they are experiencing this issue?

Have you tried searching in Incognito mode?

Besides this, it's very difficult to make sense of Google's behavior. I had these things happening to me as well. They display my Homepage #1 and the actual page for the keyword on #4. One reason could be because your homepage got all the backlinks and therefore is stronger in the serps.

I am very cautious about duplicate content and yes, we are focusing on internal linking.
