Google is not recognizing my interlinks. What could be the reason?

When I check links in GSC, Google does not show most links that are on the page. Instead, it counts the one in the template (Related articles, recent articles, etc.) What could be the reason Google is not able to crawl the interlinks?

maybe they've crawled the homepage only and discovered the Related / Recent articles widgets in the sidebar, but they've not reached the inner pages yet. That's the first thing I can think of...

Google might be overlooking your interlinks if they're not easily crawlable or if they appear less relevant. Check if the links are nofollow or if there's any JavaScript affecting their visibility.
