Did you guys notice how messed up Google’s algorithm is right now? Or maybe it has been broken for a long time.
They keep talking about Topical Authority, quality links, E-E-A-T, and all that stuff but in reality it feels completely off.
I’ve seen brand new sites getting 20k plus traffic in a few weeks while legit sites with real content and authority barely move.
I’ve seen websites with strong backlinks, better content, and solid topical coverage ranking below random new pages with almost no SEO work.
SEO is not dead it’s just broken.
And Google is the one who messed it up.

They change it so much that now it is just broken

It’s not that SEO is dead it’s that Google’s algorithm is confused. They’re experimenting with new signals like engagement and user behavior, which makes rankings look random. New sites sometimes surge because Google’s testing them, while established ones get stuck in the shuffle. In the end, real authority and consistency still win it just takes longer to show.

Google’s results feel off lately, real sites work hard, but random new ones keep getting all the traffic.

Google isn’t dead — it’s just a chaotic mix of AI changes, SEO spam, and content overload that’s made search feel broken.

Of course, that’s messed up. There are plenty of new signals coming from sites, which is why they confuse the algorithm. These kinds of evolutions usually happen once every decade, but unfortunately, this generation is evolving every single hour, so it’s really hard to compete with it.

Yeah, E-E-A-T and topical authority still matter, but Google’s tweaking things too much. Feels like they broke their own system trying to “improve” it.

Yeah, feels like Google’s throwing darts blindfolded lately. Good content barely moves while random sites skyrocket out of nowhere. Total chaos right now.

True, results are all over the place lately. It looks like Google is testing new ranking signals or giving more weight to user engagement. Focusing on quality content and improving on page experience still seems to be the safest long term move.

that is gemini (AI) taking up a good portion of all direct traffic from websites away thanks to scraping, caching, analyzing and rendering answers on the top of the search results.

It's not just Google that's broken, is it?

Just look at the replies in this thread and their quality. The entire internet is broken.

This is very interesting. The bad thing is that unfortunately there is no way back anymore. AI is destroying everything. No country will give up on AI, because the ones that do will be left behind. I don’t see and can’t possibly imagine what 2030 will be like or how things are going to work by then. Things are moving very fast nowadays, and I don’t see anything improving. It is becoming way worse.

constant rule changes, algorithm updates, and AI systems that keep shifting how everything works from one week to the next. Thousands of new SaaS tools are launching every day, replacing jobs, changing industries, and making people feel more powerless and confused. Friends, I have to say that things are getting nasty and horrible. In my opinion, the years ahead will not just be difficult, they might be some of the worst we have seen in human history.

Yeah, Google’s algorithm feels super broken right now
New sites with barely any SEO are ranking high, while solid, authoritative ones are grounded

I feel the same, but when I say it I'm just a conspiracy theorist, so I decided to let everyone see for themselves :)

Yeah, Google isn’t dead. It’s just a mess right now. Rankings feel random, new sites jump fast, and authority sites get stuck for no reason. The system is unstable, and updates keep breaking things. Best move is to stay consistent, keep improving your site, and ride out the chaos.

welcome to the world of google
where the real sites are lost in serps and where spam is king

Google isn’t broken, it’s just more volatile and signal-sensitive than ever. Small or new sites can spike quickly if they hit a combination of fresh content, click-through behavior, and topical signals that align perfectly with a query. Established sites can stagnate if they rely only on historical authority without adjusting to shifting intent or user engagement metrics. The key now is dynamic optimization: monitor behavior, update content continuously, and diversify signals across links, topical coverage, and engagement. Patience and adaptability matter more than ever.

It’s not that SEO is dead . it’s that Google’s signals are confused right now and the system is struggling to evaluate content consistently.

Until the algorithm stabilizes, we’re going to see more of these weird mismatches where low-authority pages outrank genuinely strong sites.

Yeah I’ve noticed the same it feels like Google favors new or trending content over established authority sometimes.
