Why do my competitor ranks well than my blog?
I've checked on the backlinks. I got 1000+ backlinks and his blog got only 19 backlinks. My blog was updated and his blog was outdated. His last post was march. How the heck he ranks number 2 on Google and my blog only rank on the second page! And its the same as yahoo and Bing!

Does domain age play a big role on this? I know his domain is older than mine for three months.

Domain age does play a role. Google trusts older domain main more. Loading speed in another factor that i think can play a little part in SEO as well. But just keep on building link consistently and you will rank eventually. good luck and keep building links
 
Remember Quantity vs Quality. May be that is one example of why they are at the top with 19 backlinks.
 
If we will talk about quality. I would say my blog has more quality than his blog. My backlinks came from authority sites and high PR pages. About loading speed, both are fair. Maybe I just suck at the domain age thing. I once rank number 1 on Yahoo and Bing. And eventually the crap blog appears.

Compare how old are those backlinks, between your site and that "crap blog". Also the authority sites that you got the backlinks have the same theme/niche that yours?
 
lots of things matter. sometime luck too. lolz. its like a poker game, u always have to try your luck with all the techniques.
 
how many post do you have??
how many post your competitors have??
