Google is being forced to do the impossible??

Advertise on BHW
The next move of Google might be pulling all French websites index out of France.
They're few search engines that do their work well, but nothing will be the same without Google.
 
Doesn't the French government have more to Lose by fucking with google? Censoring google or them pulling out would cause massive economic harm and lost taxes.

not sure about lost taxes. Google doesn't pay any, amazon doesn't pay any, so.. it owuld probably hurt people. But then we'd move on bing.

But there would be alot of short term sales lost so the government would be losing some money.
 
Code ? What code ? Google doesn't have any "secret code" because it doesn't exist :)
 
Its funny that the french government thinks that just by using google code that a new search engine can compete with them. A company is not only going to have to develop a brand able name but also a web site design that people would prefer over google, those two alone could take close to a year. Then they would need to purchase millions of servers, hire tens of thousands of people to maintain the IT in all the sectors. And then advertising would have to be spent to get people to use the service. Then on top of that there would need to be a way to monetize or the company will go broke. The ads are going to have to earn publishers more money than adsense does and companies buying ads would need a better ROI over adwords.
 
Google won't give up anything. They'll just prevent users from France from accessing their content.

Yeah I thought the same, just as they shutted down Google News in Spain regarding to a new law that requires every Spanish publication to charge services like Google News for showing even the smallest snippet from their publications
