Now that instant preview has rolled out where a searcher can see your site without visiting it does this mean everything's going to have to look pretty?

Or will no-one use it?

Not everyone will use it, it's pretty slow and shitty and after you've used it for a while you realize that it's not a good predictor of whether the site is going to solve your problem or not. The sky isn't falling.

Making your sites pretty has been a good idea for a while now - it just makes them more spam proof if they look professional and conversions are generally better. They don't have to be masterpieces, just "clean."

The most interesting thing about Instant is that it demonstrates, since the page is rendered as if it were in a browser but with text highlighted, that G could easily be aware of all those little tricks you're playing with javascript and CSS. :)
