google indexing unknown/hidden dir ?

the following directory has never been linked or mentioned online :
www.nichewebsitedesigner.com/backups/dreamhost-mysql/absdiet/absdiet (files deleted but present in the google search index )


so how come google knows about the existence of this dir ?

google bot is a fucking nosey bastard imo, it indexes weird shit on my site, like with wp it starts indexing directories where there are no links to.

Yeah I have heard multiple people claim that Gbot has walked up and down their directory indexes even when no links exist. Nosey pricks.

yeh I checked and posted a thread at google's very own discussion forum and according to them it can be poorly developed javascript that bleeded out the URLS with no links
is that ever possible ?

Google always try to find your blackhat stuff & little tricks so they craw each and every directory they can access
Use .htaccess if you want to hide something.
