Google indexing pages twice?

Hi, I'm using google ping to get pages/articles faster. I was pinging posts-sitemap for new post to get index faster. It mostly working but today i checked old post on search console and saw this thing:

Final scan
14 Mar 2021

It was indexed before like 3 months ago. Also i noticed after pinging and this final scan thing changes, articles losing ranking on google . Is this possible?

Most likely the date you see is the date of re-index of your pages. Did you make any changes before?
 
No i didn't do any changes. Just pinging posts-sitemap. I messed up big time. %80 of articles lose their ranking on google. They completely disappered.

Can anyone explain what is this? I stopped pinging but it's still same. When this google final scan changes. Articles completely disappears from search results and comeback later. (I don't know how long its take)

I will suggest you not to use anything to get index faster. If everything will fine Google will index your site faster.

I stopped doing it but still same. Looks like google keeps reindexing my pages and thats why they disappear. I don't know how to stop this. :(

Google indexing is just insane these days,
I have some websites with pages appearing and disappearing from SERPs all the time,
Most of these have a weak link profile, so I think getting some quality links will solve the problem most of the time

This final scan thing doesn't mean google index it again, right?

Search engines periodically check for updated pages and re-index (if needed).

Stop submitting URLs manually, work on on-page SEO and you will get indexed.
 
It happens, you will have to build more qulaity links to your pages.

I don't update any of my posts though ? Not updated pages can get re-indexed?

I stopped submitting urls since 15 day.

Google robots crawl the page then it's up to them to index it or not,
it can be crawled, but still won't be indexed

Yes.

Look, SEO is a high level skill. It is the final essential learning curve of internet marketing. If you can master it, search engines will give you visitors and you're done, you'd only need to scale content.

A working formula for SEO is the hardest part. The concept of SEO would literally not work if it was easy, because everyone can't be ranked #1.

There's so many factors at play that decide if you get indexed and how well you rank. A lot of people around here only talk about backlinks, but there's so much on-page SEO to do that will get you ranked if you get it done.

Work on your on-page SEO, there's probably a lot that can be improved about your site.

PS: Search engines remove 404 pages and duplicates on their own eventually. Don't worry about them, just focus on getting your on-page SEO done and adding content.
