Hi all,

I'm having a weird issue that I can't quite put my finger on. Namely, Google is bouncing between indexing a sales-oriented page and a comprehensively written article for a short-tail keyword. The result of this is that neither page can push through too high in Google's search results.

I've been working on de-optimizing the sales page for short-tail keywords, and will see what kind of results come through.

With regard to the article, it's definitely optimized from both and on-site and an off-site perspective, including internal linking. The article is tracking well for a great number of keywords where the sales page doesn't cause any conflict.

This sort of conflict never happens on the website where there is no sales page to conflict with an article for any given keyword.

I should also mention that this is a very high domain rating website.

Looking forward to all your thoughts. TIA!

One is a sales page and the other is an article. That would make no sense.
