So I have a site, smokewithoutfear, that according to Google Webmaster tools has numerous #1 ranking keywords.

WTF1.jpg

^^ See image.

Go ahead and type those keywords into Google. I will pay you $1,000 if they rank as they say, let alone within the first 100,000 pages of friggen Google (SATANNNN).

I'm sick of it.

And then I built a new site, hostgatorreviewsdeal. And I'm doing things right. I'm setting up Web 2.0 profiles. Blasting them. Etc. I'm on it. It was on page 3. Now it's on page infinity. Seriously. type 'hostgator reviews' or 'host gator reviews'.

YET and YET Google, Majestic and countless other services say these terms are ranking in the 20s and 30s, which isn't bad considering it's only been up a few weeks.

Have I literally pot-smoked myself into stupidity? Did the alcohol I drink fry my brain? What in the name of Jerry Seinfeld am I missing, man!? What the hell!?

I'm very close to giving up web marketing altogether because of all the bull. Nothing makes sense. Right is wrong. Up is down. Vaginas are curved and penises are straight. I mean come on...

Excuse the rant, but I am putting a LOT of effort into this hostgatoreviews site (it's my last attempt at success... after this, I will just settle for a crappy life, hoping I win the lottery). And it was doing so well on page 3 and now it's completely gone. I went through like 11 pages. NOTHING.

HELP!

Huh? Just frustrated, man. Excuse the humor but I'm an offbeat guy (Asperger's).

Maybe that's Google's goal: Reduce the internet to rubble so that they own each and every site in the SERPS.

HELP!

This one got me! Hilarious!

I think it may be in your best interest to follow niches that are in your best interest. Try ranking something easier to make you happy:D

Tru tru at Arizona. Sighs. SMH at me thinking I could rank for a web hosting term! I still wonder though why Google Tools is so off.

One of my sites are like that too, says I rank, has said I rank for these spots for weeks, but I actually don't. I used to, but Googles wack all the time

Seriously... I HOPE Microsoft jumps back up. I rank BEAUTIFULLY in Bing, man. BEAUTIFULLY. But nobody friggen uses it!

Something is going on but what - AGAIN -is a good question. My traffic - already down from Panda back in April, 2011, took an even further drop, yet the page ranks and all that are all the same.

It IS like they're just returning results for their corporate buddies and to hell with the little guy all together. Just told someone today myself that I don't know what to do any more - truly at a loss. Been doing this for over 12 years - clean, honest and above board and boom...Google gets up bug up its A$$ and the little guys who got them to the top get tossed under the bus, then squashed like a bug over and over and over again. Am very frustrated, too. It's not right.

Just checked your site (smokewithoutfear) backlinks on ahrefs.com You are blasting money site directly with spammy links. I think thats problem.

hahah, everything doesn't always work man. You gotta keep trying different things or just get people that know more of what there doing (BST's)... good luck

The easiest way, yet time-consuming & costly to make money is via media buys.

Sites, such as SiteScout.com help you receive billions of impressions.

You just need a fantastic squeeze page to collect emails & names, auto-responder email series, and a product to promote.

You could make $500+ profit per day after you have done split-testing and found the right site and product to promote.

Yeah, google might be doing this shit on purpose to frustrate people...

They could do this for the next year and most users won't skip a beat...

I swear Google has done the impossible: made made menopausal, lol. N WHOA interesting idea at BobbyLove.

Ranking a site isn't marketing. It's hoping you get lucky and a waste of time. Worst part about it is, it can't be scaled. Then there's the constant crying and bitching whenever google updates their algo.

So what would you suggest I try instead, Dennis, if you don't mind me asking?

You made my day with this post.

Keep trying and testing.

You are an internet marketer, it's part of the job. The only time you fail is when you give up.

I'd suggest saving some money and do media buys and ppc. Sitescout only requires a minimum deposit of $500, but the return can be far greater once you find something that's converting. And it's also a skill you are developing. One could argue, but SEO isn't a skill.

So what would you suggest I try instead, Dennis, if you don't mind me asking?

Appreciate that. Internet marketing... SMH. And I'm glad some folks got my sense of humor, lol.
