! Thankswow yesterday i finally took action.
So i made a blog http://national-dog-show.blogspot.com/ What do you think about it. Then i submitted it to pingomatic then submited to digg, reddit, del.icio.us, yahoo buzz and somewhere else. I didn't get any sales of course and my site wasn't indexed even in the morning. So what i did wrong? Are there any other ways you advertise sites like this? And i don't even know if i got any traffic. Where can i see traffic stats in blogger?

I checked the trends for yesterday and didn't see anything that identified the purina dog show as a hot trend...?
Also, your site is not targeted for any certain keyword really.
I would advise to all BHW fellows to read my method many times and grasp the idea fully. Then make a list of some good social bookmarking sites and high PR do follow blogs for comments and also web directories to submit their blog to. It is all about speed. Google is pretty slow these days in indexing my blogs these days. So I am using some do follow high PR blogs for commenting in order to get my blog indexed fast.

well yesterday i made $ 33.90 with one sale, using "thanksgiving day parade 2009 online" youtube video. I kept my CB aff link cloaked in tinyurl shortener. just worrying if it breaks their CB TOS?

You can cloak url with tinyurl or any other link shortner. It is not against cb TOS. I am glad u made some bucks with this method other a lot of people here are showing failure to make money with google hot trends method.

i was fast with trends, my video was first one on youtube for 2009 parade, i searched whole utube dbase but couldnt find 2009 video so i just took a 2008 video ripped it and some editing made it look like 2009 and since yesterday it had 2k views,
i made actually 2 sales 1 thru hot trends and another a regular old but heavily watched niche. so yesterday was first day with this method and quick $53

Good for you. I totally suck at this. Today i made my 3rd this type of blog. I searched for that phrase on the trend and found article about and compied it to my blog. Then put affiliate link in the sidebar. Then i used onywire as suggested and i had my site submited to around 20 social bookmarking sites. Surprisingly i had my site indexed within 1 hour but what is the point of it if my site didn't rank for any of the trend keywords. Also i figured out that i have to install statscounter to track my stats. 6 visitors YEAH. Is there anything i do wrong. it seems that people on social bookmarking sites just don't click on my links and i can't get close to being 1.st page in google for desired keywords.

Same thing with what I do here...
And I even analize the graph, by looking at its curvature.
I will choose the graph that shows positive gradient at the point of the moment I saw this graph.
This way I can predict that this trend will still hot after I finishing the "trend blog".
But so far, no success.

How do you monetize things like the Thanksgiving Parade or Tiger Wood's car crash? What could you possibly market that relates to either of these things, and what do you primarily use to market it?
I don't know about thanksgiving parade but you could maybe monetize Tiger woods car crash with some golf ebooks since many of those searchers are golf players i think.
I can attest to the Tiger Woods thing too. Made 2x blogger sites based on:
"Tiger Woods Car Crash Photos"
&
"Tiger Woods Girlfriend Joanna"
Submitted them both to a load of social bookmarking sites.... Checked just now and the only sites that kept the bookmarks were jumptags and dizzed. No traffic or conversions (goes without saying I guess).
As for offer selection - text based CPA link as a template in each blog post ($100 best buy voucher), with golf instruction courses on the car crash blog, and weight loss/teeth whitening in the girlfriend one.
Learning experience, in that I learned yet another way to waste time and earn no cash... Which means I am just one step closer to finding the methods for me.

You could just find a great offer for the Tiger Woods Golf game and use that in blogs. As an example there.

This is a great idea, I was toying with the idea of creating a 'news' type blog, and use subdomains (using wordpress Mu) so my url will be something like tigerwoodsscandal. mynewsblog. c0m (just an example) and then just ping each new post, bookmark it etc. not sure how long it will take to index a MU blog, I think blogger blogs get indexed much quicker.
