Google Hitman Gets 4 Years in Jail

The US legal system is horrible. People who THREATEN stuff can get more than people who DO stuff - especially now with the "terroristic threat" angle. Seriously? Those laws give prosecutors carte blanche to pad their portfolio....

"See how awesome I am... I put this guy who threatened his ex-girlfriend while he was drunk away for 40 years...."

"Oh... that murderer who got 6 months.... well... that was a plea bargain... and um.... did I mention the guy I put away for 40 years who threatened his girlfriend?"

I read an article that showed how in many cases, people who have child porn often get harsher sentences than people who actually molest a child.

This legal system needs a massive overhaul.

What a nasty shit bag! He got caught with child porn on his computer, he should be jailed for LIFE! Sick F***!

Four years sounds a little drastic for just threatening some one on the phone. Panda and penguin would make any body loss it. I didn't read the article but I think they should cut this guy a little more slack.

Little more slack? He actually went and made a photo of a customers apartment who he thretened before and after with it, did you read the post?

of course he deserves jail for that. law is nothing to do comparisons. some things might not punished as hard as it has to be, but you have to take a close view on every single case.

Weak. So weak.
You know that expression "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar," I think this dude should have thought of that. I mean, he was obviously desperate and trying to think of ways to succeed, but I swear that having a helping attitude or actually giving of yourself or your talents has got to be about 100 times more effective.
What a tool. The punishment may seem harsh, but the again... He was really frightening people, right? Life is scary and hard enough naturally without bullies like this Neanderthal.

Sure the guy's a douche but this story does illustrate how weird and unreal IM can be. I mean he bassically made pissing off his custumers into an off page seo strategy. Ofcourse he went WAY to far but consider this: the fact that this thread allone has two links to articles on large news sites that contain his sites name and a couple of his keywords shows how effective this can be. By posting those articles the news sites have probably generated quite a few sales for him...

Wow . . . Just went back to read the whole thing . This guy is a dumb ass. I take back what I said before. I'll start reading the articles before I start commenting on behalf of douchebags like this dumb fuck.

Lulz, he probably used google maps and used the street view to get their house pics with the zoom in feature. :p

If he wanted to increase his search and visibility, he would of been better off going to the BHW services section, there are plenty of talented service providers there that could of easily ranked his site. :)

"We say our goodbyes, and I ask him to sit for a photograph. No, too many psychos out there, he explains. Besides, he doesn't need his face in the newspaper. What he needs is his company's name visible for all the world to see — and all the search engines to crawl — in the online version of The New York Times. Along with some keywords, of course.
"Just throw in ‘designer eyeglasses,' ‘designer eyewear' and a couple different brand names," he says, "and I'm all set."

you need to love the humor of this guy :)

btw his site is still up and running. i'm wondering who is responsible for customer care now lol
