Man, I can't wait to become so important as to be able to spread absurd misinformation which nevertheless gets treated as a major leak by clueless folks.
Doing a simple search and finding a precious pdf... right. The reality is, G probably is laughing its ass off at such naivety. I mean they even know what she feeds her pets after all.
Why would they care about quality anyway? There is no competitio. Well there is, but when was the last time the majority typed bing.com in their browsers?

Well, there's a lot of reasons in my opinion.
For scientific/college, etc research, google does give the best results (if you know how to search of course)
Bing and Yahoo's major flaw right now is their indexing... they do not crawl nearly as aggressively as google, but their market share is still growing
Combined they make up nearly 30% of total share.
Granted this is not a large margin, but Bing has been making some significant headway in recent years (about 1% increase/yr in the last 3-4 yrs)
Bing's been very successful grabbing a footing... mostly because of its advertisements and pretty to look at search results.

Your kinda wrong here. Bashing on this guy when you might be the one retarded. haha. Yes, it seems dumb but as you know, content is king. So, you have many many products and more then one keyword targeting a category page. There is no way you would be able to opimize for all those keywords. So, you have blogs where you have posts that can be perfectly optimized for those keywords. Obviously, it is easier to rank but then converting that traffic to go to your category page is another story.

Well, the thing with that is that it is easy to get in a routine that works. If by doing this, I make money, then why do something else that may or may not make me money?? I do agree that you need to diversify your money making methods, but it is a lot easier said then done. After all, isn't making money about replicating and expanding your successes?
i was very disturbed to find that if purchases are not made "on site" then it is a spam site. i have witnessed this on a site that was just a 301 on page 2 for months. it jumped to page 1 result 6 and was there for 6 days before it vanished.
unlike others, i found the report very informative and interesting; especially the part where they stated that if the products featured a price comparison; it is not to be considered spam.
this is news to me, and so is a lot of other stuff in the guide. the scary thing is that it is written in such a way as to imply that the contractor knows nothing about anything.
we can assume that the person reviewing our site knows far less than we do; yet has been given polarized instructions that don't provide the reviewer the opportunity to perform any critical thinking.
i can get 301's to the first page of google with a stupidly simple method, but i am uncertain how to keep them there.
the pornography section was also informative, but was it "legal" information or just tos?

Not everyone can have various different strategies and make money from all of them. Sometimes you can make more money by just focusing yourself into one strategy instead of trying different methods all the time.
That saying (dont put all eggs into one basket) works for investment, not for your main business imo

You are correct at some point. it doesn't have to be your top priority, first just throw in an experiment and find out if you can profit on other small ventures aside from your first successful one. Multi Billions business do this all the time, soon they will have a barrage of other businesses they can keep and fall back to anytime when their main business sag off.
Think Microsoft, how many businesses do they have now? They have gone from just an OS into a gaming, medical and email platform and more to come.
See Google. It is not just a search engine anymore.
You should do this at a small scale level when you are starting out.
Yes, expanding is great and as well as getting ready for the future too. I can't count the number of businesses that failed because they stay stuck to that 1 single formula and routine. [think friendster] and many successful ones that branch off from the all eggs in one basket formula. Yahoo, Google and Microsoft to name a few.
Diversity and readiness is key to surviving long term in this frail economy. Yes you may concentrate a large part of your focus to the one that is sending more profit, but you must try out a smaller part too to see what other ventures you can fall back on when the main one fails or starts to fall.
