I am doing a search and was checking out the competition. This site that is ranked first is pretty bad. Almost ZERO SEO skills at all?but Google gave them this like authority type result in the SERP. Can I beat this search? Even if I do, is that annoying information still going to be above my site? This has a very very low search volume / high profit. It needs to be tippity top.

Does anyone know what this crap is? Can I kill it? Check out the picture?. Thanks guys.

Backlink is not the only factor that you must considered during your SEO campaign nowadays.
Have you checked whether this site has a lot of social signals i.e. facebook likes, twitter mention, G+ likes, etc. ?

Google has everybody Confused.

There are a few pages that rank higher than my website and they don't even have
anything to do with the keyword...LOL Google madness

you seem to be searching for their brand name mate , you see these kind of results when you search for the brand name of the website.

The problem is, their company name = the exact search you are going for.

Makes it very difficult to outrank.

It wasn't hard to find your niche, don't really know why you bothered to wipe it out.

Try going for more long tails by adding "best in" in front, or "reviews" after as target phrases.

Also, it doesn't get the expanded results when you search for: "KW" + "City", and only the other way round, so I think roughly half of people would search for the first one, so you can probably rank higher for that.

Also if there is less competition for the KW, then Google may expand the first site as it think it is the only authority on the topic.

However if your site is large, and full or relevant pages, you could probably stop them having this expanded result.

Also this:

Is a very nice link profile, 420 root domains and 568 total, what a nice ratio.
