This is a story of a startup called (Link not Vision according to BHW Policy) who had acquired 100k actives users over the past three years. Getting 100k active users was not easy.

In last August,2018 (Link not Vision according to BHW Policy) formed a small team inside the company who pushed few other apps ; some of those violated Google Play policy. In fact Google team approved those app at first . they shut down entire account including that famous app what never violated policy in last three years . Google team never responded on that matter and treated the sweat of team just like it was nothing.

We have checked google policy towards their developer

And they reserve the right to Terminate an account at any time , for any reason, with or without notice

It is scary that a lot of startups are completely app based and investors are pouring billions of dollars what google can terminate at any time , for any reason without notice.

Solution: Don’t let dictator Google become controller of your fate and money. Instead create your own store & put your app in many other alternative store like

  • Aptoide.

  • ApkMirror.

  • Amazon Appstore.

  • GetJar.

  • SlideMe.

  • AppBrain.

  • F-Droid.

  • Mobogenie.

Why are you spamming, isn't there already a thread for this

there was a link, so I had to repost without link

No offense but this is the nature of the Internet as a whole.

Every service have in their ToS that they reserve the right to ban your account at any point.

What is frightening is that giants are actually utilizing this right while smaller ones are more humane in my experience.

i6's one thing to have a ToS that allows you to do just about anything with users. It's another to receive government protection (as a 'carrier' under the Communications Decency Act) and pose as a neutral public square utility, while denying service. Google, like the other tech monopolies, is trying to have it both ways.

This is the problem when there are big companies creating a monopoly. It gives them incredibly much power over a whole industry and over many many companies and lives. Same goes to YouTube (I know it belongs to Google), which can delete channels as they want (see Alex Jones). Another big problem is Wikipedia, which is completely flooded with weirdos trying to manipulate the public opinion.

Welcome! Nothing new...- heard about AdSense?
Most Google products work the same way and not only Google

Another reason to stop using everything managed by google, take advantage of them and don’t let them earn money off your hard work, there are a lot of alternatives to make money with LEGIT people and companies, why rely on the Google ones?

I got a 2 week ban on this forum for nothing and you guys allow titles like the above. Let me remind this group of ignorant assholes - Hitler killed 8M + people and was single-handly responsible for the most human misery and death the planet has ever seen.

You will lose a lot of potential users if you intend to make the app available only through the alternate options. Android by default doesn't allows you installing apps from anywhere outside Play store and you need to make adjustments to the security settings in order to get that done. Most users who are at your landing page won't be comfortable disabling the security feature on their phone to install your app, not to mention the many potential users you'll lose when your app is no longer discoverable on Play store.

Like it or not I'll suggest you find a way to put your app back on the play store even if that means being unable to restore your previous stats on the store.

Hmm... don't the other networks have the same rights within their ToS as well? It wouldn't make any sense otherwise.

Lol what did you expect? I think completely banning a publisher because he uploads other apps that are against your TOS is very justified. Well sure its unlucky to lose a great app but why the hell would you publish forbidden apps on the same account then? Seems like a deserved ban.
Also those other app stores are often infested with malware and illegal cracks of apps.

Has anybody noticed a significant drop in Google organic traffic?

Also, Google search result pages are being messed up these days, you can search something in the search engine and it will bring up results with a single page occupying 1st, 2nd and even 3rd position for a single query, which was not like that some years back.

Even Fortnite creator Epic Games ditched Google Play and made the game available on their website to avoid the 30 percent cut Google takes from app sales. So guess what google did? They found security holes in Fortnite and informed it to Epic Games about it.

After the holes were fixed, Epic games asked Google to hold the disclosure until the update was more widely installed. But Google refused it, I guess just to prove that everything on Android should be on Google Play or else get ready to see Google's evil side.

So in conclusion, even big players are weak against monopoly like Google. So either you play by Google's rules and make money or get lost on the internet.

P.S. Not trying to be pessimistic, just telling that if you are a startup then you must have to follow the rules laid out by monopolies like Google and try to diversify your revenue sources from different platforms.

P.P.S Ironically I am suggesting to follow rules on BHW.
