"Google+ Hacking" Opportunity???

I cold call local businesses everyday via the phone. I've been using a software app that shows me business listings on Google+ that HAVE NOT been claimed. After calling several of these, I noticed that many were out of business but their listing was still live in an 'unclaimed' status.

It seems to me that there's an opportunity here. For example, if I had a client that was a 'roofer' and I found 10 roofing companies with unclaimed G+ listings that are actually out of business, I would think there would be a way to claim the listing and change the phone numbers to the number of my client or a number that belongs to my client (possibly a RingCentral number).

The idea I had was to actually claim the listing as a representative of the company, leave it idle for a week or so, then go in and update the phone numbers, urls, etc. to where ever I choose.

I realize that this is completely 'blackhat' and some circles would frown on this, but I can't help for thinking that there's an opportunity here.

So, how would I go about bypassing the postcard verification process? Will phone numbers from RingCentral work on a G+ listing? Has anyone ever done this successfully, especially in 2016?

No idea how to bypass the postcard verification, but if you figure it out and are going to try this I would get a burner phone and set up a call redirect. That way you can set it to redirect to a client, still have full control of the account and number, without risking any type of penalty for having the same number on multiple listings.

Looks like a promising method...but the only problem is the postcard verification...

Could you share application that you use to track and find unverified locals?
