Google gone nuts recently ?

I still don't understand if one day they make it that you are penalized for blog commenting and forum posting then I will invest all my money in doing that on the competitors site.
Maybe they don't count it that much anymore?

The latest update kills out a lot of duplicate websites, E.G. autoblogs without origional content.
 
Just so you know it was a google hiccup and everything is back to normal. Ranking is even higher, just a very odd google dance with all my keywords.

Thanks to whom ever fixed the related issue over in the zoo we call big G.

The problem everybody is having with forum/blog links is that people dont take age of domain into consideration. I have a 7 years old domain, ranking 1 on several really really good keywords (and no i dont have the keywords in my domain) These 1 positions i've got by using profile/comment links
 
My whitehat site does not have any blog comments, profiles at all!

Google.co.UK seems trashed at the moment, full of adsense crap sites
 
Guys... the reason why we are bouncing around so much is all because of Google's latest duplicate content update... think about it ... some of the links we create have dup content in them.

I've been bouncing around in the SERPS as well....

Just hang tight...

and always remember.... if Google changes something to stop us from ranking... we will just find ANOTHER way to rank #1.

I'm getting google dance just 24 hours after I construct some good and manual (do follow) backlinks on authority sites. And I'm talking about 2, 3 backlinks at most. I mean I'm doing whitehat.

The dance complete remove my page from serp's, and after a week it came back poor than the result I had before I made the backlinks. And then, after 2 weeks, it jump super stronger.

I guess, google made this changes to prevent spam, but for sure the dance "spooks" me. But it's just a matter of time, if you're doing right, you'll rank well.

Better follow the rules and let the google do they work, while you still continue to build content and good backlinks.
 
I built a wiki site and wrote 10 uniques articles and it indexed 1000 urls, most of which are wiki templates and special pages. The weird thing is it indexed a lot of urls which were forbidden in robots.txt and deindexed all of my articles...
 
Damn you JCpenney. I think after that whole JCPenney fiasco making NYT's news about blackhat SEO they made some big changes to the algo.

Would be my guess anyway, as it happened around Feb 1. I'm sure it'll settle.

The easiest thing on Earth is to ignore comment and profile links. Believe me... even Matt Cutts can do that :D
 
I'm experiencing something like google dance or something, but it's very strange it's authority site with legit backlinks, it hit me suddenly I didn't do anything on that site for month. But it seams I'm getting back now.

Btw all SERP-S was gone to the ground, and I didn't do anything to get it back, I just wait.
 
I'm glad to see its not just me who is experiencing these problems in g*****couk My site averages 200 uniques per day, this dropped down to 30 today - hopefully tomorrow will be better.

My site is powered by feed wordpress, so a penalty from the G duplicate content update may be likely - good for user experience (i guess), bad for me. Hopefully all will resume within the next 24hrs but i won't hold my breath.
 
same thing here.. friggin weird. Sites that ranked #1 or #2 for their keywords for over a YEAR dropped off and came back up but only to the second page and now wont budge.

this sucks
 
have to websites, didn't see BIG differencies. some keywords go up though.
 
I'm still seeing very low traffic levels, from 200 visits a day down to 30. This is the second day I have felt the wrath of G!
