did u read that.

Google says it's already rewarding sites that use HTTPS with a slightly higher ranking in internet searches ? but it may be cranking up that weighting to stimulate further adoption of the secure comms protocol.

What if I told you it's a trap? They can easily filter websites that switched to https beginning from August 2014 and get a huge list of sites "violating Google TOS".

I believe a internet wide https will be the next logical step in the evolution of the www.
If the big G is double something to encourage this, it would benefit us all in the end.
