Google finally decided to shut down Google Buzz

So folks,game over for Google Buzz!They have "finally decided" to shut down their over-ambitious project Google Buzz which failed to create any kind of Buzz among internet junkies,not even Orkut was affected,forget about Facebook.Looks like they are going to push their Google plus project harder,In my view...the existence of Google in the field of social networks is on the stake now.But I highly doubt that anyone is going to replace Facebook in at least a decade from now.And actually Facebook is completely prepared for the competition and even to eliminate Gmail and Twitter, the two giants on the internet.Why I think so?

Twitter>Follow your fav. celeb>get live feeds.
FB>"subscribe" to their pages>get live feeds.

Gmail>[email protected]>chat>mail>video calls
FB>[email protected]>chat>attachment in message>video calls.

In a few weeks we'll be retiring Google Buzz. At that time you won't be able to create any new posts, but your existing content will remain accessible in two ways:

You can view it on your Google Profile
You can download it using Google Takeout

Agreed. Even Google+ is off to a slow start. It's gaining momentum, but not going to overtake Facebook anytime soon.

True,signing up for Google+ was just a hype....m not sure how many of them are actually using it.

true good move, was imminent in the end...

Its harder for Google to compete Facebook because facebook is a online community type site. People give their time on facebook because they make friends there and have much more entertainment there as compare to Google Plus.

Agree G+1 is not going to be hit...!!!

Are you guys forgetting Android? Remember what people thought of it pre release, now its in serious competition with apple... give it time, +1 will be a serious contender
