You know, I'm going to actually wait a while after this launches because other companies will try to compete with Google.
The prices will all go down, and any conspiracy theories about Google spying on people will be put to the test, plus there's bound to be some bugs with this new service.

Same here, from across the Tasman . I wonder if we can get 25 million Aussies and 4 million Kiwis to petition Google to do something similar here...

Now if Google would only take over OpenReach and show them how to roll out a product without asking everyone and their Cat if they want it first...

This is scary!!!... Google is taking over too much of the market. As much as these speeds are awesome and the product offering is probably not bad at all.. I just think Google is starting to dominate waay too much of the industry than they should. I mean if they now getting into the TV space then soon they could dominate in this space also.... hmmmm what next? Google starts rolling out their own hardware? PC's, Laptops, Cellphones; TV's.... 20 years from now maybe we will have Google Burgers - the only fast food franchise in the world.. (cos they would have bought out Mcdonalds, KFC, Taco bell...etc..) Ya ya I know...I'm being a bit Paranoid...lol ...but AM I? I think we should stop worrying about Globalization it's Googlization we should be more concerned about

I have 60Mbit/s for $20 and quite happy with it. Google tries to put his hands in everywhere.

Too much power for one company.

I'm surprised so many here would signup for Google's broadband service. I wonder if these people realize Google changed their privacy policy to better profile users and still has not complied with national laws regarding the privacy concerns raised with Street View data. In fact France just ordered Google to hand over the data that was supposed to be deleted by Google. And these people want Google to monitor their every click and packet that enters their computer? Amazing!!!

They snooped on the population of the UK when they did streetview. Lied and said they'd get rid of the data, and have still got it.

I don't trust them in the slightest. Wouldn't sign up for it as things stand. Way too many privacy concerns. They aim to be "the internet".
