Google expanded Sitelinks

    You pretty much have no control over whether your site appears with sitelinks and whether your are a site that has 12 vs. 6 sitelinks appear is also out of your control.

    I would suspect Rule #1 to ever get 12 sitelinks would be to actually have... 12 pages on your site that all provide value!

    Other than that focus on your linkbuilding and content the site provides and if you are actually providing something of value Big G might one day shine down on your site and shower your with site links.

    Sitelinks also would update accordingly for old sites - its generally old and established sites that have sitelinks in the first place.

    yeah takes up load of serp real estate. However, think it will hugley benefit people who have them in position 1.
