Well I had a phrase containing 3 words in that order:

" [word 1] [word 2] [word 3] " and it has 60K exact monthly searches.

If I register [word 3] [word 1] [word 2] (dot) COM domain

Will I get some SEO benefit ?

I've seen this rank well before for keywords, so I'm sure there's some benefit to having the keywords in there, even if they aren't in the same order.

I would be interested in knowing too just how big a factor is it too though.

I think you'll have a benefit from all the keywords, but not as much as if you had a real emd. I've never done it this way because it makes more sense to me to get an emd or a mykeywordguide or some other variation. At this point, I don't buy many domains that aren't emds (unless they are aged or they are existing sites). I find that if the emd is available it will be very easy to rank for.

what you have chosen is the next best thing. In my niche, i am seeing all the emd (.com, .net,.org) are ranking on top, next emd with additional words in the end and your kind of domains (rotated emd).

Well are the hyphens death already? I mean this is more powerful than EMD with hyphens?

what I do is just do [word1][word2][word3][additionalword].com where additionalword can be pretty much anything like, "now" "today" "review" whatever... but, IMHO emd competitors are not that hard to beat most of the time using an aged domain. I see the emd's bouncing all around. They may be getting some benefits that are short lived, but they go up and down all the time from what I'm seeing both from competitors as well as most of my own emd's. I'm starting to think emd is not the way to go anymore.
