problem with these domains is if your domain takes off, you'll be getting a letter from G! lawyers :-/

Maybe but look at this site facebooklayouts dot com regged since 2005, in business since 2009, having no problems that I can figure out.

The OP names are great now there comes the monetization part.

Thanks! I tried to look at similar domains on other social networks when deciding.

Read up on your trademark laws. When you trademark a name it is for specific uses. As long as you do not infringe on what the uses that they have it trademarked for you are fine.

You could have a domain google.net and put up a site about bus repair and there is nothing that they can do about it.

Hm, I heard Google+ is only for beta and that Google is going to use different domain when it opans for anyone.

Anyway, had more than one miserable fail in buying domains for new startups (like Yahoo's Mash) so I doubt I'll do it anytime soon.

I suggest you trandemark at least one of these before Google punches you in the face.

I agree, this is a trademark issue and domain squatting can result in a letter from the big G. I had a domain with Facebook in its name, and received an email from them to drop it - which I did immediately.

Of course, this is a blackhat forum - but seriously, if they can trace you back you don't want to mess around.
