Google doesn't change my title?

    Hi,

    I changed my websites (index) title 1,5months ago and yet when i search google it's still the old tag, i have resubmitted my site to google and I can also see that google cached my site july 28th and when i look at the source of the cached page it gives me the new title within the title tags but when i search for my website in google it's still the old title, have anyone experienced this? Does anyone know how to tackle this issue?

    ANy help is appreciated!

    You just generate the sitemap again and then submit it on Google. I was also facing the same problem and i follow this technique now title of my website is showing correctly on Google.

    Yeah, try having it manually crawl\fetch your site from GWT or resubmit the sitemap.

    Just remember, your rankings can take a hit after you alter the titles tags, metas, etc.

    As you build links to your site it'll get refreshed more quickly. If it's taking time, you can either use Webmaster Tools as suggested above or you can post a link to it on google+ and it'll probably get spidered nearly immediately.

    Is the title that you can see in Google the same as the anchor text to your website? Google sometimes displays another title tag from the one you have in the code. In can add some parts or replace it with the text that is often found in the anchor texts.
