I'm working on new site, this site have a snippet on the header of page to display the current time and date. Google now take it as part of my site's meta description tag. If i type the domain into search engine, the description look funny because it display "The current time is ...." then blah blah. I know i can manually set the meta description, but the problem is i make the site some sort of 'news' site and i want Google automatically display the lastest headline as description tag.

Is there any css trick or something i can add into that time & date snippet so Search Engine ignore it into meta description ?

Google snippet will take any sentence or words from particular page !!!

"However, sometimes even pages with well-formulated, concise, descriptive titles will end up with different titles in our search results to better indicate their relevance to the query. "

Source - google [ i cant place the particular url here , u place quote sentence in G search and find it ]

Thank U

Just make a meta description and constantly update it, that way you could have fresh "news" and display what you want to.
