Google detecting anything to not index/rank your website?

It may just be my paranoia but I've been thinking Google can detect your device, IP address, host server, any footprint that they can get to prevent websites from getting indexed.

I have never touched BH SEO before. If you count duplicate content/spam then sure. Besides that, I try to keep a low profile.

Most of my new websites are taking way longer than expected to get indexed. Maybe sandbox is way more powerful now than it was back then?

It's even been months, close to a year that several of my Web 2.0's (WordPress blogs) are still not indexed.

What do you think can be the problem? At this point, I'm clueless as to why indexing is now non-existent.

Is anyone else facing this indexing problem?

Google thinks web 2.0s are useless blogs. So, they don't index these sites unless you build backlinks to push them. The new idea of indexing is that if it can't rank, it need not be indexed. So, think again if your web 2.0s can rank if they're indexed. If not, then do what is required on-page and off-page to improve their rank.

What the hell? I've had this exact thought yesterday, right before I went to sleep.

My first site ever, which I've started in 2019, was absolutely killing it. Within the first couple of months, the site was getting at least 10 visitors a day, and it just kept increasing like crazy every week. It got destroyed by the December Core Update and has flatlined with a -80% loss in traffic with no signs of recovery.

I thought fuck it, I'll just start a new one in a very similar niche, so I did. I followed (mostly) the same steps to replicate my success again. I found insane keywords that have literally 0 competition, with forums in the top 5.

Now almost 3 months have passed and the new site barely gets any visitors at all. I've gone for 10-100 search volume kws just to rank as quickly as possible. Guess what? None of them are in the top 10 even 2 months after posting the articles. Most of them are above top 50 and the others are nowhere to be found. I remember ranking in the top 10 within weeks with my old site when it was of the same age.

Sorry for being schizo, but this is highly suspicious. If you're not ranking in the top 30 using a brand new domain, very low volume KGR kws, then surely something is very wrong? I've used the same (ish) strategy to rank extremely well and fast before. High-quality pics made by me, content written by an actual expert in the niche, no backlinks at all, no buyer intent articles yet, no exact match internal links, topical relevance, silo, etc.

Maybe we're over-optimizing our on-page? Maybe Google just doesn't like us for our browsing history?

I'm half tempted to rewrite my new and old site and post/log in to Wordpress with a completely different IP, different hardware ID, etc. just to test if Google really does flag IPs and HWIDs.

That's crazy that we're in the same situation. My website was killing it as well before the December Core Update, with close to 20,000 visitors monthly on very low competition KWs. Thus, I never had any reason to do any backlinks or even try with on-page or off-page at all.

It's funny that I can't even be indexed for the KWs that have 0 competition. When I search them, barely any results show up, maybe 4 sites in a different language. It doesn't make sense because the 4 sites that are ranked for these KWs survived that December update.

I don't think there isn't a such thing as over-optimizing on-page. Unless you are spamming things and looking unnatural. I still have yet to try with an expired domain however. I just thought it was never needed, since I never needed that much power in my domains to rank for a zero competition KW.

I have already purchased multiple hosts and domains (very expensive one's too) in hopes I would rank with one of them. It didn't make a difference. So I may try with an expired domain since those hold a lot more power. I might as well try working on a proxy on a new device too. Let me know how it goes for you though!

Google generally have indexing issues for the past year or so, and on top on that they added some spam prevention filter that makes indexing even harder. And I am talking problems with original content on massive websites with tens of thousands of visitors and hundreds of links. The bot visit and crawl the content and .. "discovered but not indexed". GJ Google, well done.

I think they're applicable to certain niches (or expanding the scope of YMYL? )

For instance, I've been closely monitoring two sites in the pet niche

Both are brand new domains that were registered this year but owned by different people.

Site #! has the term pet in the domain name
Site #2 is a micro niche site focused on a specific breed

Site #1 being 5 months old has zero organic traffic (60 posts)
Site #2 being 2 months old had a great start (20 posts)
