Google Deindexed my site for Inactivity?

Hey guys, so I have this weird situation and I was wondering if anyone else had it.
Basically I created a website, added Wordpress on it, added hand-written content on it and added it on Google Search Console.

The site was indexed right away and everything was great.

However I had some urgent stuff I needed to take care of so I let the site as is, no backlinks, nothing.
After 2 months I came to check on the site and the site was not indexed any longer.
I couldn't find the site even by searching for site:web.com

I went on Search Console and of course I didn't find anything there. I did a fetch and in a couple of hours, the site is back indexed again as it was before.

Is this normal?
Nothing was done on the site, it is hosted on a good host and the content is unique. However no activity has been made on the site.

Could Google just deindex sites if they are inactive at the beginning?

It’s not something that happens so often but it’s good for you. You probably did really good work on the website. Best of luck !:p

Simple answer, No, they won't
 
I've never seen a new site randomly get completely deindexed, but I wouldn't worry about it too much unless there's some specific reason that there might have been a penalty, such as the site being built on an expired domain with a questionable history. Other than that, new sites bounce around a lot. You're probably fine.
 
Just write more content and build backlink gradually, you will be find.
 
I actually have never had this issue before, check your Robots.txt and accessibility in search console and see if there is any underlying issue.
 
I've never seen this.

Several times in the past I've picked up expired domains intending to use them for a PBN, hosted them, installed WordPress, didn't add any content, and forgot about them for months. Not the best way to do things, but they weren't real strong domains and I picked them up for the price of registration, and I've got hundreds of other domains to worry about.

They always got indexed (eventually), and stayed indexed. I don't think "inactivity" is the reason for your domain getting deindexed.


 
It's common that a brand new sites tends to go in and out of index for the first few days, but Google does not deindex sites for inactivity after a couple months. That's not normal and I am sure that this is not the reason why that site got deindexed. You have to dig deeper.
 
Its normal for new domains, content is indexed then de-indexed then re-indexed again. Just keep adding content and don't worry, its not a penalty.
 
how did you check if it was deindexed ?
 
My site also deindex on couple days ago,my site deindex because got bom traffic. Before that,my site just flat,only have less then 20 uv per day. till I got 15k uv in the day,my site was deindex. But they still hv a traffic from bing,yahoo and etc.
Any know that problem?
 
Not normal. Something happened to this site. Maybe downtime or something like that.

Google loves old sites in fact, even if abandoned for a long time.
