Google deindexed bug

I know last month google had a https://www.seroundtable.com/google-deindex-bug-impact-27391.html but this week I'd had the same issue with some of my backlinks.

I've created 3 quality backlinks during the week. They got indexed but two days later they got de-indexed. Today I've got them back to google index.

Are you guys facing anything like that?

Google’s update is going to take weeks. We won’t know for sure until it’s officially done. They’re algorithms are getting stricter and smarter every day. I would wait it out.

how did you test for deindexing? were you checking through the same geo location both time when you saw it indexed and also deindexed.

You don't simply get "deindexed"
There is no "deindex" bug at all. Probably your result was in position 1500 and you could not find it.

If you are truly deindexed just go for site:yoursite.com and see if it's there. If not, worry about a penalty. Otherwise, it's just the classic issue we are all facing on a daily basis.

my links dont get deindexed, unless they are penalised.

the only time my links got deindexed was i used the same spinned content in too many pages, and text wasnt unique anymore

My link was TRULY DEINDEXED. I typed site:website.com/page-with-backlink. The webpage was there (with backlink). Two days later it wasn't anymore.

So, the webpage got indexed at first and them was dropped from google days later: webpage de-indexed!

And the site WAS NOT penalized. I'm talking about big websites with high PA/DA/UR/DR ratios that google simple dropped the website webpage (with my link) from its index.

I'm sure about what I'm saying.

And by the way site:websitename.com not always show if the link is indexed. Sometimes you have to test it just putting websitename.com in google to check if it's there.

So, my content was unique, not spinned, handwritten.

what is the current status right now? indexed? if so, then it was just an anomaly and probably very hard to duplicate

Hi fb3003. So, I have indexed the quality ones again.

Others I left de-indexed. They were low quality links, some even exact match.

I think it's hard to duplicate that. The only thing that came to mind was orphan pages, but if that were the case, a lot of people would be complaining in the forum.

100% true. I forgot about that bug. They have solved this weeks ago.

Maybe if you did not ask for reindex from them, they have not simply reindex some sites. But I'm not sure, that they are still having this issue. At least, have not read any reports since them (this is why I've forgotten)

Anyway, that was somehow good. I left some low quality backlinks from sellers deindexed

That's not a bug that's completely normal behavior actually.

URLs go in and out of index all the time.

So, urls get out of google index. Have you seen them get in again with out forcing? Any experience the new behavior?
