hi guys,

i got a 2 year old website with about 400 domains pointing on it. never had a issue with google. in the last 3 days i made some updates on the sites. nothing special - just some optical changes but not a complet redesign. e.g. gave div's of the menu another style etc. but i still use the same template. furthermore i've optimized my sites speed. i just did what google page insights told me to do and i reach about 90 points on every site.

today i logged into google webmastertools and i've seen that google deindexed 100 pages of my website overnight (total of 738 pages, 470 are indexed now).

can you guys tell me why this happend? did i get a strike or what?

thanks for your help

what the heck? i got more than 90 points in mobile usability if i ask page insights. thanks for your offer maybe i will contact you later i have to check first what my next steps are.

fuck matt cutts

But, did you got a manual spam? Because for what you say it could be just some error with robots or something.

lets see.

fuck matt cuts anyways.

Google will look mainly for contents so try to give good content.
And check all your sites are optimized for mobile view or not, because now Google concentrating on mobile supporting sites.
After optimization check with webmaster tools, you will get better results.

There's got to be more to this story unless they did it in error. What else was done recently?

The Google mobile-friendly algorithm is a page-by-page signal, so it can take time. Depending on how fast Google crawls and indexes all of the pages on your site, the impact can be slow to show up

Google's first priority ofcourse CONTENT so go slow but make your content very high quality, and then only your work will be good.
