Google de-indexing, then re-indexing and repeat?

So I got a couple month old ecom site, main problem right now is that the indexed pages don't seem to stick? They get indexed, rank well and then they get de-indexed a couple days later just for the process to repeat.

Haven't even started building links, and it's all WH, so I it can't be something manually done by Google.

Anyone experienced the same recently? How did you manage to fix it?

*All the basic stuff Google wants like meta descs, good titles, long-ish word count (300/page, way above avg for an ecom site), sitemap etc. is there

Actually is on and off for a year already (the problems with Google indexing). Like the old saying goes "its not you, its Google". So just build some links continue to work in the site and will stabilize, eventually. I notice that this usually happens more on HTML websites btw, what CMS you are using?

Yeah, that's what I've heard too. I guess once it gets noticed as a more authoritive site they'll stop acting up. Wordpress is the CMS - so no problems there either.

Yeah, it's been happening to me. It's very frustrating. The site is only a few months old.

Even worse is since the update started rolling out Google has not been crawling my site or indexing anything. It's like it's dead to them.

Just going to keep working and ride it out I guess.

Even befoe the updates this happened, for as long as i can remember all my new sites took months to stabilize. The Google dance as they say.

I got an alert about a soft 404 for the first time ever... actually it's the first alert ever period in GSC for my site, but it says the page in question was last crawled in September... lol.

Is it sad that it's giving me hope that I might get to rejoin the internet soon? My DuckDuckGo and Bing users don't pay the bills. :(

had the same issue in november 2020, index, de-index, index again, etc... but only on new posts, old posts were fine.

Can I ask what you mean by "rank well" ie a range/page number it would normally be found on?

If your website as a whole is fine and no other pages are facing this kind of problem, I'd suggest make sure you are doing internal linkbuilding as well as the usual backlinks from other websites.

Yes.

This should be fixed once the site ages more and root gets a few HQ links.

This is happening to everyone btw. I used to monitor eHow few years back and they were bouncing like crazy.

I don't think these anomalies are going away :)

Seeps and index and reindexing like crazy too on new sites.

Over time it seems to stabilize. Just frustrating af F.

Top 15 like a day after indexing, that's ranking well imo. Internal links is good, backlinks I'm working on currently.

Yeah... some pages have stuck for a couple of days straight, I guess those will stick for good now. Phew

Let's hope so.

I noticed that it's only for certain countries it is deindexed on/off. Only noticed this as I have a new website ranking for a lot of countries in g.
Noting out of the ordinary but it's as equally frustrating every time.

Scandinavia FTW - btw.

The demoralization algorithm is in full effect on every front.
