Ok, I'm kind of confused at the moment. My site ranked in the #3 spot, and recently it tanked to spot 700. When I throw a new post in, it will rank back to the top within a few minutes. Eventually it will go back down to spot 700 later in the day. What is going on here???

How did you find out it was 700? Did you search all the way to page 70? Or do you have a utility that shows you what rank your site is for various keywords?

This is one I use that checks to 1k results. Not sure what the op uses, however.

If your site is still relatively new, it's common for your ranking to jump around like that. Just continue to write good contents and keep backlinking, and eventually your ranking will stay put.
