Google dance, what can I expect?

I know this is a subject that has been talked about alot, but please just give me advice as to MY situation.

I have been trying to rank up my MNS for some time, and it has been stuck on position 10 (bottom of first) for a long time. So I have tried to diversify my backlink methods as much as possible and suddenly today it has been shoved back to rank 40 or so.

Is this the beginnings of the dance? What do you think will happen?

I have only sent high quality links to my site

This is exactly what happened to me. I'm crawling back now but very slowly.

No it's not a manual review even i felt the same but retained the same spot after 2-3 weeks...

Ah cool, I`m gonna crank out lots of content and lots of good backlinks, hopefully end back on top =)

sometimes it happens i tried just high quality links but didn't make much difference it might settle down.

how old is your site? it might be dance if sudden surge of backlinks happened...
