I have 2 sites which i was targeting for the same keyword. I have done almost all variety backlinks and on Feb 7th decided to do a AMR Blast to the sites. Here are the results.

1) Site 1 (was at 35 initially)
Did a direct AMR Blast on feb 7th.
On Feb 9th ranked at 19th (2nd page)
Today the site is not even seen in first 300 pages

2) Site 2( Was not ranked in first 300 pages)
Did a Web 2.0 AMR Blast on feb 7th.
On Feb 9th ranked at 26th (3rd page)
Today the site is not even seen in first 300 pages

So both the sites showed up on 2nd and 3rd pages for just one day and now not seen anywhere..Is this google dance or penalized from google?...The first site which was at 35th before the blast is not even seen now. Nee some opinion on this guyz..

I can deal with your problem in detail. But you need to give me all the details.

Why am I doing this? To learn and improve myself

Anyways Pm me the details if interested

I can share one good information.

Without knowing your on-page and off-page seo details, people can just "list" every possibility that might have happened.

Although you ignored a sincere help offered to you here's the most probable reasons. (see? I'm still trying to help)

- anchor text variation
- links from known spam sources (spun articles / amr lists)
- your niche is very competitive. you hit page 1 and had a manual review.
- on-page seo problems

good luck

AMR blast is not a good idea if a site is too new.

I mean, you should give it at least 1-2 months and just then do the blast. At least, that's from my experience. In general, AMR blast can hardly get your site penalized, that's very improbable. If it happens and your site was not new, then you had to do something very very wrong in your blast.

Keep building unique content; continue link building, do some manual work (commenting for instance) to PR5+, try to get a few to stick; it should come back up within the next few days to a week from past experience.

check your rank using seoserp.com

if your site not listed in top 100 it may facing dance, but if your site listed between 50-100, it may -50 penalty.

keep build backlink and diversify anchor text. built some backlinks with non-anchor text backlinks (hard URL) and anchor text without the target keywords (e.g. check out this site, Click Here, etc.)

Hiya,

i will tell you from experinece that its just a dance as ive done something similar to some of my MNS sites ...and big g even deindexed them ...but the websites came back stronger then before after reindex...so just be patient and keep doin what you do and expect results in some time...

dont panic over simple things like that ...you wont see results fast ...you will only see a dance...small or even huge ....relax and trust your work.

People have had problems with AMR in the past few months (longer?), I wouldn't advise using it.

guesing for a dance as well

....how many submissions you had on the arm blasts?

Thanks all of you guyz for your opinions, The site is not new and the number of live links i got was around 100.

I just recently had a site disappear beyond 1000 results, its now making a comeback a few weeks later, way stronger then before.

Don't sweat it, just keep building links.

It's Google dance, work hard for it to come back, and it'll come back stronger as others have said.

if your site not listed in top 100 it may facing dance, but if your site listed between 50-100, it may -50 penalty.

I'm curious if sites given a penalty (instead of a ban) hopeless forever, or do the penalties have a duration? Assume that during the penalty period the site owner fixes whatever was causing the penalty in the first place.
