    Hi Guys,

I am busy trying to optimize my site with some SEO... as far as I know no black hat things.. just white hats.. keywords, alt's titles, metatags.

I was ranked #8-10 for my #1 keyword.... but now..i'm completely dissapeared from the google SERPs.

My site is online for, lets say.. a month.

Is there any way how to check if I screwed things up, or someone did some nasty attacks on my site to blacklist my site? or.. well.. im pretty new to this stuff.. hope you guys can give me some guidance.

    thnx!

PM me your site, I'll check if you got malicious pages and code placed on your site. Happened to me a while back and I see quite some wordpress sites still affected in google.

You can easy do a few checks:

go to google and scan what is indexed from your site:
    site:http://yourdomain.com

go to ahrefs.com and check your backlinks to see if there are strange things there.

I don't see anything suspicious nor a sign of a penalty.
Only a few links from some forum signature so it seems.
What do you mean when you say 'completely disappeared?" did you check the top 1000 or just top 100? or even less?

(btw, you do have a spelling error in your homepage title -> downloade alle games gratis, ;) )

lol... you're right about the spelling error :).

My site builds based on friendly URLs.

so lets say /site will include site --> page.php for instance.

I did replace like games to download-games a week ago. It could be google indexed both the links and now have for all the 2500 games 2 unique URLS.. meaning duplicate content. That could be a reason.. or not?

I just removed the games and only allowed the download-games now.

Thanks for looking m8.. and I have updated the keyword hehe :)

Try building some good backlinks from High PR sites. Check for 1 week.. If it doesn't come back, probably it's slapped.. ! Get a new domain and then 301 the old to the new one.

The site gets slapped when there are no good (high) pr-backlinks??

I tried to get some PR2-3 backlinks.. buts its kinda hard nowadays to have PR2+ backlinks.. well.. hard.. .for me hehe. I'm not really into building backlinks. Seems like I have to hit to books to learn how to do it :)

I did have my website under my posts on some forums, but those are technical related, is that stupid or are those links a + for the site?

hmm, the now/wow thing could be a good explanation. Hope I can manage to get my site back on the #1 page.

I focussed the site gratisspelletjesdownloaden on the keywords "gratis spelletjes downloaden". I was thinking that would be pretty easy to get on #1... guess im wrong :)

Sorry, didn't replied yet to your question.

I was ranked a top of #6 for "gratis spelletjes downloaden" ... and now when I search for "gratis spelletjes downloaden" i'm not in the top 100 anymore..

I can imagen being placed to #12.. or something like that.. but being completly vanished from the top 100.. thats a bit harsh :)

I just checked a google-sandbox checker.. it said im not in a sandbox..but not sure how reliable those checkers are... it could be an option.

Sandboxing is just a way to have your site in the frigde for a while and get it out when they think its ok or something?

It seems like I have made a false alarm. Still, my site is not yet back in the SERPs for the mentioned keyword, but it seems the keywords on my website has changed due to some changes. I checked the google-webmaster tool to see how important some keywords are on my website and now I am listed page #1 for a shorter and even more used search phrase.

Still, thanks a 1.000.000 times for your help... but seems like it was just my stupidity... still.. having the exact URL for the phrase and not being mentioned page#1 seems like a bit of a mistery to me... probably it's just a matter of more optimizing the keywords and maybe use jpg/gifs for returning keywords I don't want to be placed in google.

Come on, you can't seriously expect to rank first page without any links to your site, simply because you have the keyphrase in your url. It's not that simple :)
    Go build some links.

About the duplicate content; Make sure you either redirect your old urls to the new ones (prefered) or use a canonical tag in the old pages so google knows it should index the new ones instead

Yeah.. you're absolutely right. Sorry for my stupidiness, I guess it is the noobish state I am still in. I am trying to see how to get links online by using facebook/twitter and submitting towards directories. Even though I have my doubts about the last one. I've read google penaltizes 2-way links if they are not really related. Guess i'll be reading more comming days to educate myself :).

Just started to adjust my scripting to have the old url's point towards a 404 page and have them all only be available through the way they should be and making the website multilanguage, which would result in a 2500*languages (5) > 12.500 unique pages as from where I see it. Hope that will do some good :).
