Google dance or just a penalty?

After using some seo sevice from blackhatworld, my site went from page 4 to page 7+, it has been like that for like a week and now i cant find my site for the kwd im trying to rank for...I was told its just a dance and i shud wait, but i dont see any improvment in ranking...do you think its penalty rather than a dance?

Yes, I think it must be a penalty of Google because the same thing I suffered with one of my site. Try to track a spamy or penalized link to your site ASAP before the next PR update come otherwise your site will get another Google slap!

Nooo, wait for few days.. I also did some SEO and my KW went from top 100 to nowhere. And after one week they all come back...

Wait for a week at least and constantly check your keyword positions. I've seen such kind of complains from many users in last 48 hours..may be some update coming..though not sure..but it smells like.

How old is the page in question? Could be a dance but if it's old an just got blasted, could be a penalty. Get a list of links from the seller and check their quality yourself.

Yes, the authority of the blasted page is important.. How much backlinks did you get with these services ? (from ahrefs for example)

Op! Keep patient, it would happen often. My site fast ranking kw went from 32 page to 300+ and later on (after a week), it came back on second page.

Might be a google dance. But not sure, if it isn't google dance then do link audit in your site to find is there any spam links and ask for link removal.

Be patient and do not jump into conclusions. If you went for a reliable service, then it may just be a dance.
