So just before xmas my site had a -50 penalty. All my page 1 keywords could now be found on page 5.

It recovered after a month and everything was going good.

Yesterday I noticed that my main keywords are now gone! I just can not find them at all in the googles.

My site is still in the google index, and all pages are still indexed.

What is different this time is that I am still getting some long tail traffic from google, but 75% or more is gone. Last time all my google traffic was gone. But I could still find my site on page 5 this.

This time, some traffic, but pages for my main keywords seem to be gone.

This site is all unique and good content, and I have not done anyting to agressive link wise. Some SB blasts with SN, and Fiverr to the main site to new blog posts. And then SB blasts to tier 1 links, nothing to the money site.

Not sure exactly what is going on right now, but same thing happened to me on friday, got a huge google bitch slap!

I have been reading everywhere I can as to what is going on, but I am not seeing much clarity. The best advice I have received is to keep building links and keep doing what you have been doing.

I am encouraged to read that your site came back for you about a month after this occurred, but disappointed to read that it disappeared again.

What did you do after the first time your serps got messed up? Did you keep building links?

I am curious as I am in this situation now.

Take a look at the thread here: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...rank-has-anyone-seen-their-rankings-drop.html

I firmly believe that Google has released an update to combat
blatant artificial link building. The keyword here is blatant.

In order to combat this you'll need to reevaluate your linkbuilding
methods. Diversity has never had a stronger roll in linkbuilding than
today.

That means diversify the following:
  • Type of backlinks
  • Quality of backlinks
  • Anchor text
  • Pages you are backlinking
  • Link velocity

Those are just a few points, but all are very important. Make
sure that you aren't just backlinking the same URLs over and
over. Spread out your backlinks to a variety of internal pages,
even if you aren't trying to rank some of those pages.

Diversify the quality. I've seen a ton of people getting hammered
because they only buy crazy high PageRank backlinks. That
ISN'T natural. That just doesn't work. You need the lower quality
links as well. While that sounds strange, you need your backlink
profile to be as realistic as possible. Hundreds of high quailty
links just isn't natural.

yeah i don't know all my sites dropped about %50 of traffic and am thinking of big G dance so i will have to wait and build backlinks to see what happens
