The dance is now permanent, they seem to refresh the index daily or weekly, and sometimes there's a bigger shakeup which is what people call THE dance, but mostly it's like fishing you have a daily chance of ranking. Even hourly.

I don't think the dance is BAD in anyway. It's healthy and you ought to enjoy it.

I have had one of my sites jump from page 55 to 6 to 70 during the first month. Google dance is real!
