We have some brand sites with title tag of "Brand - xxxxxxxx" on the root page. However, our subpages are getting page titles of "Keyword - Brand" even though our page title is "Keyword - Blah blah blah blah blah" when appearing in the SERPs for our main keyword. Anyone know how to get around this?

How old is the site, and how long have the pages been indexed for, out of curiosity?

Sounds like your comparing the homepage to the inner pages and wondering why the title tag is appearing different? This would be from wordpress and not Google. You could try SEO ultimate plugin (free) as it allows you to write the title tag for each page individually. There are lots of plugins that do this so i'm sure others with have some advice as well. I apologize if this isn't what your talking about...

Maybe there is just an update delay? If not, I am sure another member can answer this one. I personally don't have in-depth experience in this exact area.

I think its probably to do with a plugin you are using or not using in wordpress and not Google. Google is reading what you put and you are not realizing what you are putting is not what you want to display. Make sense?

Happened to me too.
Sometime I just rewrite the title and it will update.
But I think it's somehow related to the anchors you're using too often for your links.
