Google change my title?

when i search for my site site:mysite.com i have my real title. But when i search for my kw i have other title. Any one know anything about this?

I had this problem for a while, it seems it just takes a while for google to update your listing in the serps.. appears to be different for every kw which seemed counter intuitive to me but hey.

I poked around in WMT for a bit, forcing a gbot crawl but not sure how much that helped.

Look, I don't say myself and expert, But here is your answer.
When you search for a keyword and you title is long enough to appear is search terms (Say you have more than a specific characters) than the search engine will show only the the title that should be perfect for that keyword. It means that your site is perfectly optimized and there is nothing t worry about it. It happens to me when I was working on a entertainment website, and same time I was getting ranking for more than 5 keywords for the same page.

They'll do the same for meta descriptions (sometimes the meta description can be a snippet from the page itself). Basically they'll serve what they think is best based on the search query.

To test this, I took the brand name completely off the home page for one of my sites, and only included it in the alt text for the header image.

A few weeks later the image alt tag was showing as my title tag when searching for the brand. =)

that is because it is a new site..happen to me as well..wait a few weeks and should be ok

I have had google use DMOZ info in the past for one of my sites, I had to add a special meta tag to get it to stop. Of course if you don't have a link in DMOZ then this will not apply.

Go into Google Webmaster Tools and check for any site issues detected with Title tags. (Diagnostic > HTML suggestions)
