Google basically scrapes everyone's content and makes $ with it.

Not news.

Everyone who makes money with white hat SEO basically lives off Google leftovers. The traffic Google can't monetize is sent to you. They leech everything else.

That is why they will keep getting penalties from all over the world. You can't control a monopoly, but you surely can make money out of it.

i love this story because it proves -
1) scraping is still super important
2) google never got out of the scraping game
3) there's nothing stopping others from scraping a site for niche products and starting a competitor — clearly genius just stole their lyrics originally from other lyrics sites
