This has been a massive pain in the arse for me. I've done it in the past but I think Google may have changed something recently...

I want to create a Google account and set up Google Calendar to receive invites for my personal non-gmail emails i.e. me@myworkemail.com

I've set up a google and gmail account and added my alternative email (me@myworkemail.com) but when someone sends me a calendar invite to that email, even though I'm logged into to that account, it tells me I'm logged into the wrong account and it can't accept invites to that email.

Anyway, the first answer that leads to me getting it to work I'll happily put $10 into your paypal account :)

    Thanks!

Your alternative email just receives mail from your other account and nothing. Google Calendar is used to share invites and dates between other Gmail, which is something that can only be shared from Gmail to Gmail. So basically you can receive any invites from your alternative email, but you won't be able to actually put it on your Calendar as it is not your primary Google account. Hope it answered your question and I was clear enough.

Thanks Tokeatazy - In my last job I had a pop mail account that was able to accept google calendar invites. I would get invotes to me@workemail.com and they would automatically got the google calendar they set up form me.
