According to my experience, Google is indexing fresh pages more quickly but still you see old cache version of the page.Moreover your backlinks are indexed quickly but is shown in Google webmaster tools as inflated count.

yha... i also observe the same problem.. my one blog is indexed but the catche version is still old and its not changing for the past 2 weeks....

What do you mean by inflated count??

Caffeine is still quite broken... safe search and language search are broken. Search contexts are broken. The deployment is just too big to role back is my guess so they will just tweak from here over time... I wouldn't expect change anytime soon.

The key is not to fret, there's nothing you can do other than continue to provide proper seo for each client and wait for everything to iron out.

I have sites that actually became stronger in Google and dropped in Yahoo and Bing and are now beginning to come back and vice versa. As long as you continue to practice good methods you will be alright.

Some of you guys get too caught up in the update. Like ipopbb said, this is still the infant stage of caffeine. If you guys wait around for the finished version, you will be waiting around for a long time. While everyone else is waiting, I'll be building.
