Hi BHW,

Something intriguing has come to my attention recently: the response time for reinstatement requests for suspended business profiles from Google is significantly longer than before. Timeframes that were once manageable are now taking weeks, and in some instances, no updates are being provided at all.

New listings and businesses in service areas may be subject to further verification checks from Google. My question is whether anybody else is finding the turnaround time to be similarly long.

Could these holdups be the beginning of a new pattern, or is Google quietly implementing new policies?

Yes, reinstatements are much slower for everyone now, often taking 30+ days. This is the new normal. Be patient and ensure your reinstatement request is extremely detailed and includes solid proof.

If you didn't have that much reviews sometimes it's smarter to create a new one.

Many users are seeing longer delays for Google Business Profile reinstatements, especially for new or service area listings. This likely reflects stricter verification or updated internal policies.

I feel like Google is just taking longer now, and maybe they changed some rules quietly.

I am seeing the same pattern and now treat reinstatements as multi week projects, documenting everything and avoiding edits so I have clean evidence if a manual review ever happens.

This delay is the new normal, with turnarounds now taking 3 to 5 weeks, google is cracking down on spam and relying on an overloaded automated appeals system, don’t submit multiple tickets, upload your business license and utility bill right away, and keep checking the gbp appeals tool for updates.

Why has every reinstatement I have sent been approved in 2 business days? I just counted that I did 36 of them since December, every one was approved in 2-3 business days MAX.
